Internship Requirements
Requirements:
- Must currently be pursuing a 2- or 4- year degree from an accredited institution
- Must be a current Sophomore or Junior in college (Junior is preferred)
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to relocate to Raleigh, NC for the duration of the 10-week internship

Orientation week was the highlight of my internship! We had the opportunity to not only hear each of our Executive leaders speak, but also ask them questions about their experience and for advice as we began our career journeys. Getting to see and hear from interns from all over the country was also an amazing experience. No matter how different we might’ve been, we all had one thing in common—we all found our way to Advance Auto Parts!

The greatest part of the internship experience is being able to take your education and then apply it to a real-world scenario impacting a business operation. It is a great exercise to take what you have learned and put it into practice.

My intern experience at AAP completely changed my professional network as a college student. The connections and partnerships I built during my internship created a pathway for limitless growth and opportunities. These connections were more than just connections since most of them served as a mentor for me during my internship, and well after my internship as well.

My transition from intern to full-time team member was made very easy as I was already acclimated to the team and was able to continue the projects I was working on into my new role. Since then, I have been able to continue to build on the foundation my internship provided me to build new relationships and learn and grow every day.

I can't say enough about how good of an experience the internship program is at Advance Auto Parts. Working for such a large company is a special opportunity, especially when you get hands-on experience with real projects to refine your skill sets. I believe no matter what you are looking to do after graduation, there is a position at AAP that will add value to your career journey.

Corporate events were a great opportunity to improve networking with executives and leaders at the company and I was able to create some great relationships that are still active to this day. Meeting and interacting with all the different levels of management all the way to the top was also extremely valuable as I feel like those experiences are rare in the business world. I also was able to improve my time management skills as I had to schedule meetings and manage my time to be available for my team.
